PATENTED CONVERTIBLE HARDTOP ROOF SYSTEMS FOR NEW  VEHICLES, SPECIAL VEHICLES, AND AFTERMARKET KITS THAT

TRANSFORM FASTBACK COUPES, RAG TOP CONVERTIBLES,     AND PICKUPS INTO STREET SMART HARDTOP CONVERTIBLES
SEEKING HOTROD SHOP TO CONVERT ONE OF THESE STANG

                                            MUSTANG - DESIGN #1

This is a Stock Stang Clothtop Convertible, converted to a Hardtop Convertible. For foundation of Kit, off the shelf Mustang Coupe sails and roof are obtained from Ford service counter. When open, roof rests between sails, substantially  retaining side profile, mimicking  the original Stang Coupe.

                                                 DESIGN  # 3

                                            DESIGN  # 4

Gear motor beneath window offset begins retracting action by rotating itself and Back Window  portion atop Lid that is descending  down into previous mechanical well, then rotating Roof portion atop and against Window portion; all  recessing  into  same well. Springs installed at pivot between roof and window section reduce force necessary to retract top.

Recessed Hardtop now trims out opening between sails and trunk lid. Sharp eh!

Roof Section finally rests on top of Window and Lid. Entire movement has been accomplished with one Motor. (option - no motor at all, just a little muscle.) Each rotating section fits snugly between Kit provided Sail perimeter  frame.  The rear end of the Roof has same radius as trunk lid, giving roof extra style, and completing fitting. We have full access to trunk, with top open or closed. We may lose the back  seat. We can't have everything. But we gain interior storage behind front seats.

                                    COMPONENTS - 4A

Main components to the Stang Convertible Body Kit - 1  Roof Portion, 2  Window Portion, 3  Lid, 4  Sail-Frame.   A gear motor  centered beneath #2 window portion offset (or alternative - motor less counter balanced retracting system with pneumatic  descent speed control. Using handle on ceiling) recesses 1, and rotates 2, and 3 simultaneously. Three additional support devises, complete the entire Kit structure.

                                        COMPONENTS # 4B

One inch Vertical Walls on each side of Window Section Offset and Lid, extend beneath each widened Sail, directing water run-off rearward and off. Also for run-off from Window, the Lid has gasket that extends an inch or so, beneath Window offset.

                              2009-10 CAMARO - DESIGN #5

Design #5 is by far the simplest and least  expensive of all my designs, and in many ways the most exciting.
There are only three moving parts, roof, window, and storage lid with movement control bracket,  plus gear motor afixed beneath window offset, that rotates with window, because Motor axle is frozen in place by vehicle body brackets.

When activated, motor itself rotating along with the window, pulls the storage lid down out of the way, and pulls the rear portion of roof atop window and lid, while forward portion of roof rides and remains in track.

Camaro Roof  retraction can either be motorized (or) be manually operated  with assist of pneumatic devise  that slows descent, and a counter balance spring that lessens muscle power for closing

Conversion Process: Remove back window and remove roof portion to same determined dimensions, trim out, install three factory assembled linked moving components (roof attached to window with rotating motor beneath, attached to lid). That's it.

This is a Stock Camaro Coupe converted to a Hardtop Convertible, with operating moonroof.  A single gear Motor attached beneath window offset begins retracting  action by rotating  itself and Window atop Storage Lid that is descending down into well, while recessed roof portion finally rests  between sails. Design #1 and Design #4 will work on this Camaro
                                         CORVETTE DESIGN #6

No more struggling with Corvette's heavy lift off top, our Body Kit will make it automatic!, and gives it distinction!

Top on its way down

                                                                                         How about that!

Corvette Coupe - This is the simplest one of all, although the sales volume would be much less but profit per kit would be greater. Only the fast back window component is discarded. Then you drop-on assembled Kit, (replacing present lift off top), and secure to body. This Kit will will require no reenforcement, as roll bar is in place, and kit merely sleeves over it.

                                                  DESIGN # 7

F150 Ford Pickup
Just trim out the template marked section of the roof and tonneau cover, install the Kit, and you have
    a working man's drop top.

                                           DESIGN # 8

Special Vehicle manufacturers can have fun with this very inexpensive makeover of a Ford Ranger
Pickup for Mrs. Jones to fetch her groceries in.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Browsing at Borders Book Store, you will find an entire section with over a 150 magazines devoted to giving individual expression. But in all these After market Companies, not one company has a simple mechanism to transform a Coupe, a Pickup, or Soft Top Convertible, into an eye catching, apart from the crowd, Hardtop Convertible.

THERE IS NO COMPETIING AFTERMARKET PRODUCT OUT THERE:
Unlike all of the above aftermarket products that are very competitive, my patented intellectual property cannot be duplicated by competitors. In addition to the above aftermarket business, these roof retracting systems are far less expensive for special vehicle and new vehicle manufacturers to add pizazz to their present lines, because engineering relates only to mechanisms, not an entire vehicle. I am now open to partnership with a knowledgeable automotive manufacturer of new cars, special vehicles, and/or aftermarket producers.

Down The Line - Eventually, this roof system can be incorporated in many manufacturers' current and future vehicles, from the least expensive, with merely the muscle powered manual roof retraction system, to sophisticated, completely automatic systems.  The same basic Kit may be separately dimensioned for many other brands of Coupe, Soft Tops, and Pickups. Our Vehicle designer, Ed White,  www.fehrarules.com who has had over 50 of his designs published in Truckin, Street Truck, Hot Rod, Elite Street, and many other magazines, will supervise aesthetic proportions, detail, and compliment mechanical choices.
